THE ONLY ADAPTIVE CURRICULUM FOR TEACHER-LED INSTRUCTION ON THE PSAT, SAT, PRE-ACT & ACT
ChalkTalk’s adaptive instructional content is aligned to state standards and focused on core ELA and math skills, such as “solving systems of linear equations with two variables” and “identifying the main idea of a History reading passage.” This is why students not only score higher on the PSAT, SAT, Pre-ACT & ACT, but also report better grades in their ELA and math classes.
Less than 10% of the ChalkTalk curriculum covers test-taking skills, such as: exam format, scoring, timing, significance, pacing, backreading, and multiple choice elimination.
Put simply, ChalkTalk does not ‘teach to the test.’ Instead, ChalkTalk helps teachers personalize their instruction in a way that engages every student and improves their understanding of ELA & math skills. Higher PSAT, SAT, Pre-ACT & ACT scores are simply a byproduct of deeper learning.
VETTED HIGH-QUALITY CURRICULA. EASY CONTENT. PERSONALIZATION.
Teachers take in the tens of thousands of PDFs and/or print materials that make up these curricula and then convert them into differentiated lesson plans and teaching materials that align with their custom course schedule and target student populations (ELL, intervention, honors, …). Examples of teaching materials they create include teaching slides, teaching notes, worksheets, group activities, practice, and assessments. This takes teachers a huge amount of time and these materials aren’t always differentiated and effective.
ChalkTalk takes in your curriculum (Eureka Math or Illustrative Math), your school schedule, and a student placement test as its three inputs. Then, for every day in the school schedule, it outputs a lesson plan with actionable teaching materials for the whole group level, small group level, and individual student level. Teachers can use ChalkTalk’s machine-generated content in their courses, replace pieces of ChalkTalk’s content with their own, or browse through a vetted database of what other teachers around the country have been using to teach specific modules and import that content into their courses.
Arbitrary modifications to the Illustrative Math or Eureka Math curricula could break mathematical coherence and pedagogical design, leading to adverse effects on outcomes. But different schools have different needs so we must create room for customization. ChalkTalk allows teachers to customize their lesson plans and collaborate on teaching materials—all while preserving the original sequence, mathematical coherence, and pedagogical design of the basal curricula.
Welcome to the future of real-time learning.
