Step 1
Whole Group Instruction(I do)
Whole Group Instruction: The ChalkTalk Standard Class begins with the teacher kicking off class by presenting lesson slides on a given topic, and stepping the class through sample exercises. This content is adaptive to the school schedule.
Step 2
Small Group Practice and Instruction(We do)
Small Group Activities: Students work together in pairs or small groups to complete group practice activities on a given topic. This content is adaptive to the small groups.
Step 3
Personalized Practice(You do)
Personalized Practice: Each student logs into ChalkTalk to complete personalized practice questions on the topics covered in today’s class. This content is adaptive to the individual student.
Step 4
Intervention
Intervention: Every fourth week, ChalkTalk revisits each student’s top 3 weaknesses, giving each individual an opportunity to learn topics they have not yet mastered. This content is adaptive to the individual student.
Step 4
Review Classes
Review Classes: Teachers review the class scores from within their dashboards and assign intervention activities to the student—either online or as printables. This content is adaptive to the individual student.
Step 5
Impact Study
Exit Test & Impact Study: Students take a full-length exit test to measure progress. ChalkTalk produces impact study outlining gains in proficiency and growth against student activity in the program.s
